Painted Bear Coffee Co started with a simple conviction: the best coffee shouldn't require a trip to the city. Nestled along Buckhorn Road with the Great Smoky Mountains as our backdrop, we built a space where the pace slows down and every sip feels intentional.

We source our beans from small-scale roasters who share our commitment to sustainability and quality. Each batch is roasted in small quantities so you get the full flavor profile — never burnt, never bland. Our kitchen bakes from scratch every morning, because nothing beats the smell of fresh bread hitting the air at 6 AM.

Whether you're a thru-hiker refueling on the Appalacian Trail, a family exploring the national park, or a neighbor who just wants a really good cup of coffee — there's a seat for you here.

We designed Painted Bear to feel like stepping into someone's mountain cabin — warm wood, soft light, and the kind of aroma that makes you stop and take a breath.

Our space is built for lingering. Whether you're working remotely with a laptop and a long pour-over, reading a book by the window, or catching up with friends over fresh pastries — there's room for you here.

We're proud to be a part of the Gatlinburg community. We source from local suppliers whenever possible, sponsor youth sports, and donate a portion of our proceeds to Smoky Mountain conservation efforts every quarter.
